Entry Deadlines
• Early Deadline: Oct 31, 2008
• Regular Deadline: Jan 1, 2009
• Late Deadline: Feb 15, 2009
• Extended Deadline: March 15, 2009
Eligibility
To be eligible for the Festival, each submission must include one DVD copy of the film, a completed Entry Form, and entry fee. Films less than 60 minutes long are shorts, films 60 minutes or longer are features. Student films can be submitted in any length. Student filmmakers must be a full time academic student or a recent graduate within six months at the time of submission. DVD's must be NTSC Region 0 or Region 1. Awards
Awards will be issued to outstanding feature, short, documentary, animated, student, and foreign films. Winning films and directors will be honored on the last night of the festival. All winning films and directors will be listed on the Hollywood East Film Festival web site. *There is no cash prize associated with the awards. |

- Best Short Comedy
- Best Documentary
- Best Short Documentary
- Best Animation
- Best Music Video
- Best Student Film
- Best Foreign Film
- Hollywood East Award (for best film from North East/New England)
Selection
Each film goes through a multi-tiered review process. All areas of production and artistic merit are evaluated, such as acting, direction, cinematography, production design, screenwriting, content value, etc. Filmmakers selected to be in the Festival will be notified via email by April 1, 2009.
